Mark Conference

Planned by a dedicated team of students and staff, the aim of this event is to inspire action among our student population and encourage critical thought about the “mark” that each of us is capable of leaving on the world around us. By showcasing a line-up of speakers that each rose to the occasion and made their individual marks on society, conference attendees will be empowered to reframe themselves as agents of change not only on their campuses, but also in the community and world around them. Previous conference speakers include:

  • Laverne Cox, transgender advocate and critically acclaimed actress ofOrange is the New Black
  • Julian Huguet, Matt Pittman, and Mike Bernstein, hosts and creator ofThe Science of Happiness, a web series created by Soul Pancake.
  • Stephen Shedletzky, a purpose consultant from Simon Sinek’sStart With Why Team and the founder of inspirAction.ca
  • Frank Warren, mental health expert and creator of PostSecret.com

The Mark Leadership Conference is an annual event designed to provide students from Rutgers University and other regional institutions with a unique opportunity to acquire knowledge, cultivate passions, develop skills and network with inspiring professionals from various industries.
