Come to the Annual My Spoken Mark Open Mic and watch student poets and rappers ignite the audience with their spoken word pieces about how they are challenging the status quo and the impact they want to leave on the world! The winner will get to speak at the Mark Conference!

As a scholar and award-winning author, Dr. Marc Lamont Hill facilitates discussions on culture, politics, and race as a host of HuffPost Live, BET News, and VH1 Live and political commentator on CNN. Join us to listen to Dr. Hill discuss the topic “Building Community in an Hour of Chaos” as part of Leadership Week!

Admission to this event is FREE and wristbanding will begin at 7:00pm. The lecture will begin at 8:00pm, followed by a Q&A session.
