The Rutgers University Alternative Winter Break and Spring Break programs provide groups of Rutgers University undergraduate students with a semester-long experience centered on community service. Participants learn about a particular community issue within the United States during five weeks of pre-trip meetings and a volunteer break excursion.

FYF- The First-Year Fellowship Certificate Program features a curriculum designed for emerging leaders to cultivate their skills and abilities to become the next generation of leaders on campus and beyond! The Leadership Ambassador Outreach Team gives you the opportunity to represent our department as the face of leadership at different events on campus. This low-commitment position is a great way to jump start your involvement with leadership at Rutgers. By becoming a Leadership Ambassador, you get experience public speaking, marketing, and outreach.

Leadership & Experiential Learning is hosting their annual Escape the Room right here on campus.  With four different rooms each with their own difficulty level, there is something for every team no matter what their level of experience together. Let our rooms test your group’s ability to communicate effectively, work as a team to solve tricky puzzles, and think creatively to escape the room.

From Backpack to Briefcase is a transitional leadership series which targets upperclassmen, particularly seniors. Monthly sessions are aimed at bridging the gap between the college experience and post-graduate world. Focusing on both professional and personal competencies, the Series offers students a fleeting opportunity to develop skills that will ease their transition from university life to their post-Rutgers endeavors.
